League titles have become the norm around McGann-Mercy in the spring track season.

The girls added to that legacy in May when they defeated Port Jefferson in a dual meet to clinch their fifth straight league title. The Monarchs closed out the league season 6-0, led by junior Delina Auciello’s three individual wins.

Junior Danisha Carter finished the season by qualifying for the state championship in the 200-meter dash, where she ran 26.32. Auciello also qualified for the state meet in the 3,000.
